    Announced $5 Million Delivery Worker Settlement

    Mayor Mamdani and DCWP Commissioner Sam Levine announced that Uber Eats, Fantuan, and HungryPanda will pay a combined $5,195,000 in restitution, civil penalties, and damages to more than 49,000 food delivery workers for violating the city's minimum pay rate. Uber also agreed to reinstate as many as 10,000 wrongfully deactivated workers.

    Announced More Than 50,000 3-K and Pre-K Applications Submitted

    Mayor Mamdani announced that more than 50,000 families have applied for 3-K and Pre-K since applications opened on January 14. The announcement came during a visit to a home-based child care provider in Manhattan's Chinatown, marking one of the first times in recent years a sitting mayor has visited a home-based child care provider.
