Restarted Four Halted Bus and Bike Lane Projects in Bronx and Brooklyn
Program ReformMayor Mamdani and DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn announced the restart of four street redesign projects halted by the Adams administration. The projects include offset bus lanes on Fordham Road in the Bronx serving 130,000 daily riders, a two-way protected bike lane on Ashland Place in Brooklyn, protected bike lanes on Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues near 10 schools, and a broader bike network across Midwood, Flatbush, and East Flatbush.
